A bicycle mechanic in a narrow workshop finally seats a stubborn bearing race. Her right fist drops to the bench and clenches once, low, beside her hip — no arms overhead, no look to camera — and within two seconds the same hand is back on the wrench and the work continues. The return to the task is the shot. Shoot it in Robbie Ryan's close handheld register: 35mm vintage prime at f/2.2, visible focus breathing, the operator standing slightly too close and correcting a half-step when her elbow crosses the lens.
