Rise, release, rotation, swish. The backspin is the giveaway.

The brief

A player rises for a jump shot, releases at the top of the jump, and the ball drops cleanly through the net. Shoot from the baseline or a low angle so the arc reads against the arena lights.

Why it's hard

A real jump shot releases at the apex, not on the way up, and the ball carries backspin all the way to the rim. Models often release early and give the ball no rotation at all — it reads as a thrown rock.

Why it's built this way

Holding on the net instead of cutting to a reaction is the anti-AI decision here: the emotional beat lives in an object, which is exactly what the canon's ban on the default eye close-up is asking you to practise. The net's loop-and-snap is real physics that models routinely fake, so it gets its own clause. Vary the light — this gym is lit by windows only; swapping to overhead fluorescents changes the whole grade and is a good exercise in sourced light.

Watch for

A net that barely moves, or one that ripples like cloth rather than whipping up and snapping back; also watch for the model cutting to the shooter's face at the swish — if it does, restate that the last two seconds stay on the net.
