A tight spiral, a contested catch, and a run to the end zone.
The brief
A quarterback releases deep, the ball spirals downfield, a receiver adjusts, catches in traffic and turns upfield for the score. This is a multi-shot sequence — the ball has to connect the cuts.
Why it's hard
The spiral is the tell. A football rotates on its long axis while following a ballistic arc, and models usually give you a ball that tumbles or slides through the air. Add pads, helmets and contact between multiple players and the difficulty compounds.

The spiral is described as physics (nose rising, then tipping at the apex) rather than as an adjective, and the catch is broken into four actions so the hands do something specific instead of magnetically absorbing the ball. Flat December overcast with mud is a deliberate refusal of the golden-hour, glowing-stadium default that AI reaches for with sports. Vary the lens length — the 200mm compression is what makes it read as broadcast; a 35mm on the field makes it read as drama.
