SL-47 / Celebration With Weight
High Five, Missed and Corrected
It half-misses. They laugh. They try again.
The brief
A high five that half-misses and gets a laughing second attempt.
Why it's hard
Two hands meeting cleanly is a physics problem models solve by cheating — palms snap together magnetically, with no approach error to correct.
Built-in imperfection. Specify the miss, then the correction.
Skill Tests
04 / 28Every challenge is scored against the same vocabulary, so you can compare them. Lit cells are what this one tests.
Starter prompt
Built with the CEMI MediaMax system for Google Veo 3.1. Prompts stay in English — that is the language these models take instructions in. Treat it as a starting point and start varying it.
Two teenagers on an outdoor court swing for a high five and half-miss: one hand catches fingertips, the other slaps air past the wrist. Both laugh — starting at different moments — one shakes out the stung hand, they reset and hit it clean on the second try, quieter than the first. Keep the failed attempt at full speed; the miss is the content, not a blooper. Shot in Sean Baker's street-level handheld: 24mm at f/2.8, the operator crouched and rising with them, with one late reframe because the second attempt happens outside the frame he had chosen. DIRTY FOREGROUND: chain-link diamonds across the near third, out of focus. Materials: sun-bleached green court paint flaking at the key line, a ball with worn pebbling and a scuffed logo. Flat overcast light, no cast shadows. Audio: two different-pitched slaps, sneaker squeak, traffic a street away.

Built-in imperfection has to be specified as an event with two beats, otherwise the model smooths it into one clean contact. Naming what each hand does in the miss — fingertips versus air past the wrist — gives it a physical description to render rather than a vague fumble. The staggered laughs stop the pair from behaving like one synchronised organism.
A single flawless palm-to-palm slap on the first attempt, both faces already grinning before contact; if a miss appears at all it will be in slow motion.
