Why it's built this way

The full three-sixty is what makes bullet time read as a demo; a quarter turn is inside what a human being could physically cover, so the brain accepts it. Preserving handheld bob and an overshoot inside a frozen world is the tell that a body is still operating the camera. Keeping the arc short also protects you from having to invent a convincing reverse angle.
