Bailar Mientras Haces

A specific community: a Spanish-speaking household in the Cibao valley, Dominican Republic — not "the Dominican Republic" as one culture and not "Latin dance". A woman rinses plates at a deep concrete sink while a radio plays in the next room. Two steps of the local dance appear for about a second and a half — a weight shift and a hip answer, done absent-mindedly on the way to the drying rack — then the chore reclaims her hands and the steps stop without a finish. The chore is primary throughout; the dance is a leak, not a performance, and she never faces the lens. Dirty foreground: a hanging dish towel and steam cross the frame, soft. Shot in the domestic-observation register of Lucrecia Martel, lit by one kitchen tube and doorway daylight, mixed and uncorrected. Handheld, 40mm, f/2.0, gentle halation, focus breathing. Scoured aluminium pot, worn Formica, hard-water scale. 24fps.

Referencia de estilo: Lucrecia Martel — domestic observation, off-centre framing
The authenticity lever is proportion: one and a half seconds of movement inside a continuing task, with no beginning pose and no finish. Because the body is already loaded with a chore, the steps have to be small and off-centre — which is exactly what makes them read as habit. Never let the dancer face the camera; an audience turns habit back into performance.
The model turns it into a full dance sequence facing camera with the chore abandoned. The prompt deliberately does not name the choreography. Fill the step in from a tradition you actually know rather than approximating a dance you have only watched.
