SL-19 / Tomas Imposibles
One continuous move, no cut. The camera starts in a cold hallway, tight on the brass escutcheon of an old mortice lock — verdigris in the engraving, screw heads worn to a slot and a half, dust drawn through the hole on a draught. It pushes into and through the keyhole; the brass edges pass the lens as a black vignette that opens like an iris. Inside is the same room in another season: the hallway was blue winter dusk with frost feathering the outer glass, the room is high summer — a hot rectangle of afternoon sun laid across bare floorboards, a fly turning over on the sill, curtains lifting on a warm draught. The change happens in the throat of the lock, not by dissolve. Camera: 8mm probe lens, a human hesitation before it commits, then a steady push. Register of Robert Eggers' interior severity with DP Darius Khondji's amber-and-shadow.
Referencia de estilo: Robert Eggers (dir.) interior severity with Darius Khondji (DP) amber-and-shadow
The impossible part is hidden inside a physical passage: the keyhole's throat is a natural wipe, so the season change is motivated by geometry rather than by an effect. The two seasons are specified by their light and their air — blue dusk and frost against a hot rectangle of sun and a lifting curtain — because that is what a season actually looks like on camera. The hesitation before the push is the operator; keep it, and vary which season is on which side.
The model cross-dissolving between two rooms instead of travelling through the lock, which reads as a slideshow; if that happens, spend more of the prompt on the brass throat and the iris-opening vignette and less on the two rooms.
