One unbroken shot, no cut. Begin inside a single falling raindrop: the frame is water, the world beyond refracted and inverted through the meniscus, a dust nucleus and one trapped air bubble drifting past the lens, the drop's skin trembling as it falls. The camera pulls back through that skin — the refraction resolves and the world rights itself — and the drop turns out to be one of thousands on a windowpane; keep retreating past a rain-streaked sill, a fire escape, a wet street, a block, until the whole city reads as a grid of grey rooftops in rain. The pull is not mechanical: it accelerates, hesitates twice as if the operator is recalibrating, and drifts laterally. One flat overcast source throughout, matched at every scale. Dirty foreground at every scale — grime on the glass, a cable, a wet parapet. Register of DP Hoyte van Hoytema's cold naturalism.

The trick of an impossible scale move is making each scale hand off to the next with a physical object — droplet to pane to sill to fire escape to street — so the model has anchors instead of a vague zoom. The inversion righting itself as you exit the meniscus is real optics and is what makes the first beat convincing. The two hesitations are the human-operator requirement: a mathematically perfect pull-out is the tell that no one was holding anything.
A smooth uniform dolly-zoom that skips the intermediate scales and lands on a generic skyline; if scales are being skipped, name fewer of them and make each handoff object more specific.
