Two hands lift a dust sheet off something waist-high in a storage room. Halfway up the cotton catches on a corner and holds for half a second; the pull hesitates, the wrist gives a small sideways flick to free it, and only then does the cloth continue and fall away. The snag is the point — the mechanism is physical, not magical. Off-centre framing and tactile sound in the manner of Lucrecia Martel: the subject sits low-right, the empty upper-left of frame carries the shot, and no music explains anything. Dirty foreground: a strip of bubble wrap and the edge of a stacked crate blur across the bottom of frame. 40mm anamorphic at f/2.8, oval bokeh, one horizontal flare from a bare tube fixture. Fluorescent practical only, greenish, dust lifting off the cotton in the beam. Audio: the drag of cotton on varnish, the catch, the release.
